Job Description


As a Security Professional- Unarmed Cultural Patrol in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents while conducting routine patrols throughout a cultural institution location. Your presence will provide reassurance to visitors and staff, while your strong communication skills and commitment to exceptional customer service help foster a welcoming environment. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises in a vehicle as needed. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any irregularities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
  • Assist visitors and staff by providing information and guidance as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and location staff to support a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions, and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
