As a Security Officer - - Armed Government Facility - Overnight Shift in Nashville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a government location. In this armed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on-site. Your responsibilities will include monitoring for unusual activity, responding to incidents as they arise, and interacting with a diverse range of individuals with professionalism and courtesy. This role also requires driving as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to all individuals at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed patrol posts.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and daily activities as required by site protocols.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including coordinating with on-site and external emergency personnel as needed.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors to provide assistance and uphold site policies.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times while on duty, demonstrating a strong presence as an armed security-related professional.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License. Preference will be given to candidates who possess an Armed Guard Card or License, but it is not required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
