As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment for all individuals at the location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter potential security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations as they arise. You will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service, interacting professionally with staff, visitors, and patients, and providing clear communication at all times. This role requires attentiveness, reliability, and a proactive approach, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to putting people first and acting with integrity. Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel or authorities as required.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and on-site staff to address security-related matters and maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and assisting with visitor management as needed.
  • Assist in emergency response activities, such as evacuations or medical incidents, following established protocols for healthcare locations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Availability across various days and shifts
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
