As a Security Officer - Retail Patrols in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a high-end retail environment, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help reduce incidents, and assisting with loss prevention initiatives. You will interact with a diverse group of people, respond promptly to security-related situations, and provide exceptional customer service to everyone you encounter. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the location, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations for management review.
• Support loss prevention efforts by being present and attentive in key areas of the retail location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
