As a Security Officer - - Armed Healthcare Center - Full Time in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere while you respond to security-related situations and provide exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare environment in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed security-related protocols as required.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential threats and identify unusual activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and protect people and property within the healthcare location.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established procedures.
  • Assist with crowd control and/or traffic management as needed within the healthcare setting.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and law enforcement as necessary to address security-related concerns and emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton training or certification is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
