As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Site Patrol - Part Time in Prince George, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more.

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage production location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment by patrolling assigned areas and monitoring for any security-related incidents. Your presence will help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to those on site. You will conduct routine patrols, manage access points, and interact with employees and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. Pay Rate: $15.96 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help protect people and property at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any irregularities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and other personnel as needed while performing security-related duties at the food and beverage production location.
  • Complete required reports and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related concerns specific to a food and beverage environment and respond as directed by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • You must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to provide proof of completion.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
