As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Sector in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and promptly responding to any situations as they arise. You will interact with employees, visitors, and other stakeholders, delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activities within the premises, reporting any unusual or suspicious behavior.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and other personnel as needed.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Assist with emergency response protocols, including evacuations and alarm response, in accordance with site instructions.
• Support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property within the tech and media location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
