As a Security Officer -  - Armed Manufacturing Patrol - Full Time in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. This armed position requires you to be alert, professional, and ready to address a variety of security-related needs while delivering exceptional customer service to everyone you encounter. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining composure at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor manufacturing and industrial areas for potential security-related issues, reporting any concerns in accordance with Allied Universal policies.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points within the location.
• Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed written reports as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, supporting incident resolution as directed.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
