As a Security Officer - Industrial Center - Full Time in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in monitoring and coordinating security-related activities. Your responsibilities will include operating alarm panels, managing access control systems, and utilizing computers or tablets to document incidents and communicate with team members. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining awareness of your surroundings and providing prompt responses to calls for assistance. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing communications at the dispatch station to support security-related operations within the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Coordinate responses to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, communicating with on-site personnel as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of all dispatch activities, including incident reports and communication logs.
• Assist with the deployment of security-related personnel and resources throughout the location based on site-specific needs and protocols.
• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with both internal staff and external contacts as part of daily dispatch duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
