As a Security Guard - Healthcare Patrol EMT in Tarrytown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols throughout the location to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence and proactive approach will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, as you respond to situations with professionalism and deliver outstanding customer service. This driving position requires you to navigate the premises efficiently, monitor access points, and maintain thorough communication with your team. Pay Rate: $28.61 - $29.61 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the interior and perimeter of the location to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as part of routine reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site staff to support security-related goals and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
