As a Security Officer – Front Desk Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact in a dynamic tech-focused location. Your role will involve monitoring access, greeting visitors, and providing a welcoming presence while supporting security-related protocols. You will play a key part in helping to deter incidents by maintaining a visible and approachable demeanor, addressing inquiries, and responding to situations with professionalism and care. Your ability to communicate clearly and provide outstanding customer service will contribute to a positive experience for everyone entering the premises. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist visitors, employees, and contractors at the front desk, providing excellent customer service while following site-specific security-related procedures.
• Monitor access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry to the location and maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs of visitor and employee check-ins and check-outs, as well as any security-related incidents.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Follow all site-specific policies and procedures, including emergency response activities as required for the location.

• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
• A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
