As a Security Professional – Armed Campus Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to create a secure environment at an educational location. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to students, staff, and visitors. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the educational location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized individuals within the premises.
• Assist with access control by verifying identification and managing entry points to the location.
• Work closely with staff, visitors, and/or students to address concerns and provide information as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license and Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or hold a college degree.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
