As a Security Officer – Education Site Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will have the important role of monitoring and patrolling assigned areas within an educational setting. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and contribute to a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the location, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. By responding promptly to incidents and assisting those in need, you will play a key part in fostering a positive atmosphere. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately during emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment within the educational location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards to the appropriate personnel for further action.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying the credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Support Allied Universal and the educational location in maintaining a welcoming and secure atmosphere for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
