As a Security Officer - Retail Patrols in Skokie, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be a key presence at a bustling retail and mall location. Your primary responsibilities include conducting routine patrols throughout assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and tenants. By remaining visible and approachable, you will provide outstanding customer service, assist guests with questions, and respond to situations as they arise. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail and mall environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards to Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as appropriate.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and support of mall policies as directed by site leadership.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity within the location.
• Collaborate with retail tenants, visitors, and other personnel to provide information and assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
