Job Description


As a Security Guard Dispatch Full-Time in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting security-related operations within a dynamic commercial real estate environment. You will monitor and coordinate communications, respond to incidents, and dispatch appropriate resources to various locations within the property. Your responsibilities will include maintaining detailed activity logs, utilizing computer or tablet systems for incident reporting, and providing outstanding customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. By remaining alert and visible, you will help to deter security-related incidents and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Operate as the primary point of contact for dispatching security-related personnel and resources throughout the commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor and respond to radio and telephone communications, relaying information accurately to security-related team members and/or emergency responders.
  • Document and track security-related incidents, calls, and activities in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Assist with coordinating emergency response activities and communicating critical information in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Support customer service by addressing inquiries and service requests from tenants, visitors, and staff at the location.
  • Maintain awareness of the location's operations and report irregularities or unusual situations as observed.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a secure environment for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
