As a Security Professional - Armed Retail Site - Full Time in San Marcos, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a dynamic retail environment. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the location, maintaining a strong and approachable presence to help provide peace of mind for both staff and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring for potential security-related concerns, responding promptly to incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service through clear communication and professionalism. This is an armed position, requiring you to carry and be prepared to responsibly use company-issued equipment as needed. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a welcoming environment.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any concerns according to established protocols.
• Interact with employees, visitors, and/or customers to offer assistance and help to maintain order within the retail environment.
• Carry a firearm as required by the post profile and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies regarding armed posts.
• Complete incident reports and other required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Level III Armed Certification for Texas is required.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
