As a Security Officer Unarmed Retail Site in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic retail setting. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and unauthorized activities. By interacting with visitors, guests, and staff, you will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, creating a welcoming atmosphere while addressing any security-related concerns. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a positive experience for everyone in the retail environment. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible security-related presence.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the location to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific policies.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any suspicious behavior or activities.
• Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and provide a welcoming environment for staff and patrons.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
