Job Description


As a Security Professional Armed Transit Site in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting peace of mind within a dynamic transportation environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols of assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help discourage unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related situations that may arise. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This armed post requires you to carry out your duties with professionalism and integrity, reflecting Allied Universal's core values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Pay Rate: $27.58 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and assist with the enforcement of site rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to staff, passengers, and visitors.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and training requirements related to armed patrol assignments.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
