As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol - Full Time in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role will involve conducting routine patrols, managing access control, and providing exceptional customer service through clear communication and support to all individuals on-site. You will use your attention to detail and professionalism to contribute to a welcoming environment, responding promptly to incidents and assisting with any security-related needs. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues within the tech and media environment.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry points as required by site protocols.
  • Document and communicate security-related incidents and/or maintenance needs according to company and client guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site staff to support a secure environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • First aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
