Job Description


As a Security Officer- Commercial Building - Afternoon Shift in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer, where you'll play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a commercial real estate location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. In this driving post, you will be required to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities or suspicious activities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and/or employees with inquiries and directions as needed while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site management to support security-related operations and procedures.
  • Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner as directed by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
