As a Security Professional - Education Site - Access Control in Studio City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at an education-focused location, you will play a key role in creating a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, managing access points, and verifying credentials to help to deter unauthorized activity. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the campus, remain highly visible, and provide friendly, professional customer service to all individuals you encounter. Utilizing technology such as computers or tablets, you will document incidents and communicate important information to the appropriate parties. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points at the location, verifying identification, and granting access to authorized individuals only.
• Provide customer service by addressing questions and concerns from visitors, staff, and students in a professional manner.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document incidents and observations accurately in reports as required by Allied Universal and the site policies.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, assisting with evacuations or lockdowns when appropriate.
• Collaborate with location staff and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
