As a Armed Security Guard - Corrections Location in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a PATROL_ARMED professional with Allied Universal, you will play a critical role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols to help to deter security-related incidents, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to situations as they arise. This is an armed post that requires you to carry and responsibly manage a firearm at all times. In addition, this position involves driving responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is required. You will interact with staff, visitors, and other personnel, providing exceptional customer service and communication while upholding Allied Universal’s core values of agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any irregularities.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance as needed.
• Monitor and report any suspicious activities, security-related breaches, or hazards encountered during patrols.
• Interact with visitors, staff, and/or contractors in a courteous manner while verifying identification and access as required by site policies.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Respond to alarms and/or emergencies according to site-specific procedures and coordinate with local authorities when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in an armed security-related, law enforcement, or military role.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or armed guard license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet with Allied Universal driver policy requierments.
