As a Security Guard - Armed Government Site in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment in a government location. In this dynamic position, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible throughout the assigned area, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding promptly to any unusual activity. As this is an armed and driving post, you will be responsible for both carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle while on duty, adhering to all company and legal requirements. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or breaches.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
  • Follow all protocols for armed security-related posts, including proper handling and storage of assigned equipment.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding activities, incidents, and/or observations during each shift.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents.
  • Remain alert and observant throughout the shift to help to deter potential threats or incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy.
