As a Security Guard - Unarmed Auto Patrol in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play an important role in creating a secure environment within the automotive location. Your daily responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a strong and approachable presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees, visitors, and guests, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to support a welcoming atmosphere. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist employees, visitors, and/or contractors with directions and general information as needed.
  • Complete required logs and incident reports accurately and promptly.
  • Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal management and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to provide proof as required by the client.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
