As a Security Officer Government Unarmed Patrols in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will focus on regular patrols of assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents through high visibility and attentive presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to various situations as they arise. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible presence.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as directed.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials when required.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding patrol activities, incidents, and other security-related matters.
  • Assist visitors and employees with inquiries or concerns, providing information and directions as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
