Job Description


As a Security Professional Chemical Access Specialist in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting regular patrols throughout the site to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be a visible presence, assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with professionalism and outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your duties. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the chemical or petrochemical location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical or petrochemical environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with site personnel and Allied Universal as needed.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or irregularities observed during shifts.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific hazards and operational protocols unique to chemical or petrochemical locations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Possess a valid driver's license in the job state and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
