As a Security Guard - Access Control - Full Time in Anderson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter unauthorized activity. You will remain visible to support a welcoming atmosphere, provide exceptional customer service, and respond promptly to security-related incidents. This post requires a valid driver's license, as driving may be part of your daily responsibilities. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
  • Assist in managing access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing information and guidance as required.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver policy requierments.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
