As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic utilities location. Your responsibilities will include conducting armed patrols across designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, offering exceptional customer service while responding to security-related situations as needed. This position requires you to carry a firearm, and an armed guard card/license is mandatory. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment to address various scenarios.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and controlling access as required by site-specific protocols.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client guidelines.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including coordinating with first responders and following established protocols for utilities environments.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings while armed, adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess an active and valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
