As a Security Guard - Retail Shopping Patrol in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for shoppers, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and serving as a welcoming presence for all guests. You will also respond to inquiries, provide directions, and offer exceptional customer service while upholding the values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation that define Allied Universal. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail or mall environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including business interiors and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site-specific protocols.
• Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergencies and/or evacuations as directed.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
