As a Security Professional - Mall Patrol Roving in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help create a secure and welcoming atmosphere for everyone at the location. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while you remain approachable and ready to provide outstanding customer service. You will be visible throughout the area, assisting guests and employees with inquiries, and responding to situations as they arise. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with the public and are committed to promoting a positive experience for all. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or unusual activity within the retail environment.
• Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related issues as they arise.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
