As a Security Professional - Hotel Site Patrol - Part Time in Milpitas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a secure environment for guests and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to help prevent potential issues, and providing exceptional customer service. You will interact with guests and team members, respond to security-related situations as they arise, and communicate clearly with both the public and your team. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the hotel environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with hotel management and staff to address security-related concerns and support a welcoming atmosphere for guests and employees.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and/or crowd control during events or periods of high occupancy at the location.
  • Remain alert to environmental and security-related risks, promptly reporting any hazards or unusual situations to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
