As a Security Officer Unarmed Mall Patrol in LOS ANGELES, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail or mall location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment for visitors, employees, and tenants. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and offering outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. You will support access control procedures and respond to routine inquiries, all while using your communication skills to build positive relationships. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following protocols as directed by Allied Universal and site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail/mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report suspicious behavior or security-related hazards.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and client staff to address security-related needs and provide a visible presence within the retail/mall environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
