As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming atmosphere for customers, employees, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises using a company vehicle as needed. You will also interact with the public, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of Allied Universal. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
• Assist in controlling access to the premises and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal supervisors regarding security-related matters and incident documentation.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting potential theft or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that primarily involve driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• A current Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
