As a Security Professional - Shopping Center - Afternoon Shift in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help create a secure environment for customers, staff, and property. Your presence and routine patrols play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a welcoming atmosphere. You will engage with visitors and employees, providing excellent customer service and clear communication while remaining alert to any unusual activity. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately during emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail setting to observe and report any suspicious activity or potential issues.
• Communicate clearly with team members and/or site management regarding incidents, concerns, or observations during patrols.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
