As a Security Guard - Retail Site - Afternoon Shift in Glendale, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for all visitors. Your presence and attentiveness will help to provide peace of mind to shoppers and staff, while your commitment to customer service and clear communication will create positive interactions throughout your shift. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your patrol duties. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior or activities within the location.
  • Assist visitors and employees by providing directions and answering questions as needed.
  • Work closely with Allied Universal management and site personnel to address security-related concerns specific to the retail environment.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft and unauthorized activities.
  • Complete written reports and logs of daily activities, observations, and incidents encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required and must meet with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
