As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff. Your primary responsibility will be to manage access control, check credentials, and assist with visitor management, helping to create a welcoming and secure environment. You will remain stationed at the front desk, providing exceptional customer service, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism and care. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a sense of trust and comfort within the campus community. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist students, staff, and visitors at the front desk, providing excellent customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and visitor logs as required by site procedures.
• Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
• Assist in emergency response activities as directed, including alerting appropriate personnel and providing information as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
