As a Security Officer - Campus Site - Full Time in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence and regular patrols will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a sense of community. You will interact with a diverse group of people, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while addressing any security-related concerns. This role involves working closely with campus personnel, utilizing technology such as computers or tablets, and supporting access control procedures. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the educational location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any suspicious or unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors by providing information and support as needed.
• Collaborate with campus personnel and emergency responders when situations arise, following established protocols.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on all incidents and activities during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must have supervisory experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
