As a Unarmed Security Professional - Tech Site - Full Time in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for staff and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, maintaining a visible presence to help promote a sense of security, and responding promptly to any security-related situations. You will also assist with access control duties, greeting and guiding guests, and using technology such as computers or tablets to log incidents or check credentials. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe any unusual situations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders as necessary during routine operations and incidents.
• Support the implementation of security-related procedures tailored to the needs of a technology, media, or telecom environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
