As a Security Professional – Unarmed Site - Multiple Shifts in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for conducting unarmed patrols at an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming environment for everyone on site. You will monitor assigned areas, remain highly visible, and interact regularly with staff, students, and visitors to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. This role requires you to utilize your observational skills and attention to detail while using technology such as computers and tablets to document activities. As this is a driving post, you will also be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual findings.
• Monitor the premises for any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns and report them according to site procedures.
• Communicate with site staff, visitors, and/or students in a professional manner to address questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
• Complete required reports and documentation for incidents, patrols, and daily activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
