As a Security Officer – Armed Patrol Specialist in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a strong and visible presence to help promote a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, checking credentials, and responding to any security-related concerns with professionalism and composure. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and be proficient with a firearm as part of your daily duties. In addition to your patrol responsibilities, you will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, reflecting Allied Universal’s commitment to teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action based on training and protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business premises and perimeter areas.
• Monitor for and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns, helping to deter potential threats within the location.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
• Work collaboratively with site personnel and law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of experience in an armed security-related, law enforcement, or military role.
• Possess an armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local laws and regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
