As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Facility - Full Time in Newberry, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a major food and beverage production location, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment for all personnel, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help deter potential security-related incidents. You will interact with employees and guests, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while remaining alert to any unusual activity. This position values individuals who are comfortable using technology such as computers or tablets, and who bring experience with alarm panels and access control systems. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a food and beverage production environment.
• Monitor and control access to the site, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter and detect suspicious activity, with attention to food production and storage areas.
• Observe and report any security-related irregularities, property damage, or unusual occurrences to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
• Assist with enforcing policies related to restricted areas and prohibited items to help to support site security-related protocols.
• Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all activities, incidents, and access control measures performed during shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
