As a Security Officer - Retail Site - Morning Shift in Hartford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment within a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to both staff and visitors. Your approachable demeanor and strong communication skills will be essential as you assist individuals and address any concerns that arise. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, assisting clients, employees, and visitors as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to management and/or law enforcement as directed.
• Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying credentials as required.
• Work collaboratively with retail staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and provide a welcoming environment for shoppers and employees.
• Complete required reports and documentation of incidents, observations, and daily activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
