As a Security Officer - Media Center Patrol - Full Time in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and media location, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment for all employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be highly visible, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication as you interact with people throughout the site. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry to the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Document security-related incidents, observations, and actions in detailed reports for Allied Universal and client records.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed to address incidents or concerns in the tech, media, and telecom environment.
  • Operate security-related technology such as access control systems, surveillance cameras, and communication devices as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
