As a Security Officer - Plant Patrol in Danville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a manufacturing and industrial location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, monitoring assigned areas, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be an approachable resource for employees and visitors, providing excellent customer service and clear communication. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual observations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related concerns observed during patrols.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and site protocols.
• Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management specific to the manufacturing and industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience providing customer service is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
