As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be assigned to a shelter location where you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. Your presence will be crucial in providing reassurance to residents and staff, while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will interact with a diverse community, respond to various situations with professionalism, and maintain a visible presence to help support a secure atmosphere. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and residents by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit from the location.
• Report and document any incidents, observations, or unusual circumstances according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Communicate and collaborate with shelter staff and residents in a courteous and respectful manner while upholding security-related responsibilities.
• Remain alert to changes in the environment and adapt patrol routes as needed to address the unique needs of the shelter location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
