As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent retail location, you will play a vital role in supporting a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be highly visible, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding promptly to inquiries or situations that arise. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail location.
• Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and manage visitor and employee access in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and the surrounding perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and client staff to help to deter security-related risks and promote a welcoming environment.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings to address potential concerns and provide assistance as needed in a retail or mall setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
