As a Security Professional - Cultural Patrol Unarmed in Long Island City, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas within a vibrant cultural institution. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the location, and provide outstanding customer service by assisting guests and responding to any security-related concerns. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a welcoming environment for all visitors.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual activity or potential concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors and staff with directions and general information as needed within the cultural institution environment.
  • Document incidents and observations according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with other team members to address security-related needs and support a positive experience for all patrons.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
