As a Security Officer Education Access Control in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and conducting regular patrols throughout the campus to help deter incidents and respond to security-related concerns. You will be a visible presence, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while assisting with access control and supporting the campus community. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the educational location.
  • Manage access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification, and granting or denying access as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for educational environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with campus personnel, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or policy violations according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities and provide assistance during drills and real events as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
