As a Security Officer - Commercial Building - Multiple Shifts in Nottingham, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent commercial real estate location, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment by conducting routine patrols throughout the property. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with tenants, visitors, and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This primarily driving post offers the opportunity to be proactive in identifying and reporting any security-related concerns, while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons on the premises.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols and instructions to support a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions that are primarily driving posts, in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
