As a Security Professional – Armed Manufacturing Site - Afternoon Shift in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment for our clients and their teams. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular armed patrols throughout the facility, monitoring for any unusual activity, and being a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding access control protocols. This position requires you to be comfortable handling security-related situations in a professional and calm manner. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
  • Monitor and report any unusual behavior, property damage, or suspicious activity within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
  • Operate and carry assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and all applicable laws, maintaining control and awareness at all times.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address incidents and support emergency response protocols.
  • Provide visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential criminal activity and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
